The highest level of EPS was observed in Chromohalobacter canadensis strain 28. More than a half of the strains displayed antimicrobial activity against one to five test bacteria and yeasts. WebUsually, Halobacteriales grow in aerobic and high salinity environments. Halobacteriales have been found in salt lakes, marine salterns, seawater, solar salts and salted food products. Mostly, members of the order Halobacteriales can be located in environments where concentration of salt (NaCl) exceeds 25%.
